Some good news for fans of horror novels and George Lucas’ Star Wars universe as a Star Wars horror novel is in the works.  Novelist Joe Schreiber is posting on his blog that he has been commisioned to write the book for Lucasfilm, with a release date in late 2009.  Schreiber has released two books to date, Eat the Dark and Chasing the Dead from Ballantine/Del Ray.  Also in ’09, Schreiber will release a new horror novel from Random House.  The working title is The Black Wing.  Schreiber can’t comment on the content of the Star Wars horror novel, but assures readers that it’ll be very scary.
